The Anglers Only Manifesto

Life is short. Fish more. If you don't have time to fish more, stop watching TV and looking at Instagram.

Never forget why you started. Fishing should be fun. If it’s not, you're doing it wrong.

Remember this: “The gods do not deduct from man's allotted span the hours spent fishing.” (Herbert Hoover).

Spare a thought for people who don’t fish. They had to grow up. They don’t know what it's like to lie in bed, unable to sleep, the night before a fishing trip.

Always look over bridges. It's what we do. It's what we'll always do

Leave no trace. Pick up litter. Even if it's not yours.

Take only what you need.

Teach someone to fish. Helping someone catch their first fish is like catching yours all over again.

Be good to people (including other fishermen). Everyone else is fighting a battle you know nothing about.

Imagine a life without fishing. Not cool, is it? Let's make sure tomorrow’s fisheries don't die on our watch.
