Behold the new Fin Up Signature Hoodie.
It’s a new addition to our range of fishing hoodies, and while at first glance it might look similar to the ones we’ve done before, there are a few important differences worth talking through.

A thicker, more premium fabric
Let’s get slightly nerdy for a moment.
When we talk about hoodie fabric, we often refer to GSM, which stands for grams per square metre. In simple terms, GSM gives you a good idea of how thick and substantial a fabric feels.

Our previous fishing hoodies used a 280GSM fabric. The Signature Hoodie has been bumped up to 320GSM. That extra weight makes a noticeable difference. It feels thicker, warmer, and more premium in the hand. It’s something a lot of you have asked for over time, so we felt it was the right moment to deliver.
A refined fit (not oversized)
The second big change is the fit.
These hoodies are a touch roomier than the stock we’ve used in the past. That said, this is not an oversized hoodie. It’s not like our Superchunk Hoodie, which is deliberately cut oversized and boxy. Instead, this is still a classic shape, just with a bit more ease through the body for comfort and layering.

Upgraded trims & details
The third difference is in the details. We’ve upgraded several of the trims to give the hoodie a more robust, considered feel:
- A chunkier drawstring with metal tips
- More substantial cuffs and hem
- A sturdier, better-structured hood
None of these things shout for attention on their own, but together they add up to a hoodie that just feels more luxurious and better made.

What this means going forward
Right now, this new blank is being used for our Signature Hoodies, but over time (from around February ’26 onwards), this will become the standard hoodie we use across the entire range.
It’s worth being upfront: these hoodies do cost a little more. They cost more for us to make, so the retail price has had to increase slightly. The consistent feedback we’ve had, though, is that most of you would rather pay a bit more for a hoodie that genuinely feels premium - especially for a garment that forms such a core part of what we anglers wear day in, day out.
As always, if you’ve got questions, requests, or thoughts on what you’d like to see next, you know how to get hold of us.
